Hello, If you have used sencha touch charts, you might have faced this issue. If you set minimum and maximum to chart axes, you might have decimal values in numeric axes. See the image below. This occurs if you specify maximum and minimum on axes. See the code below. minimum: 0, maximum: 100, majorTickSteps :5, minorTickSteps :5 Here minimum defines minimum allowed value and maximum defines maximum allowed value on axes. Axes will not have value more than maximum. majorTickSteps... (more)

Hello, Recently I was working on Sencha Touch application. Requirement was to populate list and select a specific item which was selected by user earlier. Following is the trick to do it. myList.on('refresh', function(){        var recordIndex = myList.store.find('field', 'value');        myList.select(recordIndex, true, false);   }); myList.store.find returns the index of record that matches the filters and it will be first match of record. So if you have multiple records with s... (more)

Very recently, Sencha released the newest version of ExtJS–4.0. This release was significant, in addition to other important changes, because ExtJS 4 signals a real shift in how Sencha is pushing developers to use ExtJS. By this, I mean that this rework of the framework has been... (more)

The process of building a complex web application has evolved a lot over the past few years, largely thanks to the ever-evolving browser landscape. Many server-side and native application development paradigms — including MVC, layout systems, and data stores — are moving to frontend web technology like JavaScript. This article will take a brief, high-level, look at data stores, and how they can be used to reduce your development time and future-proof your applications. For demonstration purposes, we wil... Ext JS 4 is the most comprehensive upgrade to the framework we've ever released. From completely overhauled packages like Data and Charting, to widgets like the Tree and Grid that were rewritten from the ground up, Ext JS 4 represents a new level of power and flexibility in RIA development. In addition to enabling new features and capabilities, another goal of Ext JS 4 was to streamline the overall API and make it more consistent. Given these goals, it was not possible to maintain full backwards compati... (more)
