The ever increasing popularity of Git seems to know no bounds, which is not bad for something that’s named after a British English insult that’s only slightly more venomous than “idiot”1. Being popular, there is an eclipse plug in available and this short blog covers how to install it. (more)

You probably know the filling. You are sitting next to your colleague in his working station, waiting for your question to be answered. However, he is in charge of the keyboard and you are only an observer. You simply can't comprehend why instead of creating a shortcut in the folder view, he is again navigating all the way from the Desktop to the ProgramData directory, without using auto-complete. I made some progress with my UI testing efforts for the RAP port of eiswind book publishing software. The obvious thing is that we can set ids on widgets by setting a widget id: b1.setData( WidgetUtil.CUSTOMWIDGETID, "myButton" ); The next step is a little hackish, but works for me: I reuse the contribution item ids from the workbench as widget ids (snippet from Widget.java): (more)

Eclipse: How attach Java source - Java Code Geeks

posted by anishaanisha 621 days, 12 hours, 55 minutes ago

In Eclipse, when you press Ctrl button and click on any Class names, the IDE will take you to the source file for that class. This is the normal behavior for the classes you have in your project. But, in case you want the same behavior for Java’s core classes too, you can have it by attaching the Java source with the Eclipse IDE. Once you attach the source, thereafter when you Ctrl+Click any Java class names (String for example), Eclipse will open the source code of that class. (more)

Android SDK or Eclipse ADT plugin are not bundle with any Android’s source code for debugging. In Eclipse IDE, step into any Android class will prompt no source code attach, see following screen :Solution According to this official Android source code article, it’s shocked that we need to use “repo” to download and then build the entire source code to get the source for “android.jar“.
