When creating a skin in ADF Faces, it's (relatively) easy to add locale aware CSS using the :rtl psuedo-class on the end of a skinning key to indicate that the skinning key should be used when the renderer is rendering right to left. In right to left locales, the start of the text is on the right side by default, so we need to chan... (more)

In this tutorial I am styling three text nodes, so it's tutorial about how to style text with JavaFX 2 and CSS. The inspiration for this tutorial I got from GroovyFX site, so I wanted to do something similar with JavaFX 2. You can take a look at the final result of this tutorial below. The code may be improved a lot, as I have more Java background than CSS, so I wrote few more lines of the Java code, instead to minimize it with CSS. (more)

CSS AJAX Navigation

This article is a followup to my CSS Navigation article. In that article I have provided a client-side JavaScript that traverses a static HTML navigation tree and enhances it with the right style classes depending on the current URL location. This however still leaves the developer with a server-side problem: the inclusion of the navigation tree into the page. For very simple static HTML sites this is already a problem. Of course a template mechanism can be used at development time, such as Dreamweaver t... (more)
